Taco Truck Night - May 1st
Ξ April 27th, 2008 | → | ∇ Highland Park |

To celebrate this year’s May Day we’re announcing Taco Truck Night. Take your family, your friends, or anybody else who loves tacos. Go out, get some carne asada or al pastor and support your local hard working taco vendor.
While you’re there be sure to hand out some posters and tell your fellow Angelenos what’s happening to our beloved Taco Trucks.
If you’re unsure where to go, or just want to try something new, check out The Great Taco Hunt for suggestions. And of course, check out SaveOurTacoTrucks.org for more information.

Let me throw this out there:
Park a taco truck in front of Molina’s house up there in Mount Washinton on May 1st! Legally it culd stay for 1 hour and then move on….What a media event. Viva los tacos!

I LOVE it. I bet we could even sell enough tacos to pay the first couple $1000 fines!

I certainly doubt she has a clue as to what her community wants or needs. She’s been around too long! over 20 years!! Every time I go to ELA tacos on Mt Washington. lets do the damn thing. And someone do the research….she’s been around long time…power corrupts. 2/19/91..she was in politics long ago.time for a change

I think a truck should park on Molina’s street.
Make it happen.
I would like to see the trucks stay on the streets but also be an example to the communities by going ‘green’, buying local,
maybe not organic — but recycle their oil for their fuel, etc

Perhaps a new truck could be on Mt Washington every hour or so….or maybe several can park all over up there and rotate every hour. Of course this is as ridiculous as the ordinance. L.A. county supervisors need to support all the good things L.A. has going for the people, all the people! Katrina

I live out in Dallas, Texas. But I visit my family often out in East Los for a lot of reasons. One of them is the Taco Trucks. Nobody, and I mean, nobody else across the United States has tacos, like East LA has tacos. They are the best in the country. It’s become an icon. For Miss Molina to destroy that, would be her destroying tradition, history and the American Way. Shame on her for forgetting her heritage.

Hey, maybe you ought to set up the ability to digg this post or the petition itself.

A committed treason by going to El Pique instead of La Estrella last night after a couple drinks at Johnnys. I hope she forgives me and lets me back someday, i was just in the mood for the sliced cucumber side instead of raddish.
